"You're a girl?!" We all know the shock of male gamers when they hear a female's voice over the mic playing CoD, L4D, or any other "guy's guy" games. We usually either shut up and take it and kick their butts, or fight back. Well why no one has thought about doing this before surprises me... So girls, make me a promise, the next time you hop on Xbox Live, and start getting harassed by the guys... FIGHT BACK! (And whoop their asses of course)

Yes, Girls game, we are geeks, we like computers, role playing, anime, but this doesn't mean we can't be girly too! Earlier I posted a picture of Mario Nails. Well Here is another Dorky design for those of us who like to take some time once in a while to pamper ourselves. 

My theory is... I may be a gamer girl, but I get my nails done, wear heels, and love to get dirty!!

So I switched from a business major to Networking/IT major. I am the only girl in my three classes, as well as (so far) the only female I've seen (other than a teacher) in the Networking wing. ThinkGeek.com has a tee shrit (Left) that I really want. Working in Computer repair I had this issue constantly... Men thinking Females don't know anything about computers. 

Okay I love things that are different... However I must admit when I get my nails done, I like a simple French manicure with a black line RIGHT under the white... simple, however not the norm. 

I work in the business field, so I have to keep things simple and professional... which sucks... however... I'd LOVE to get my nails done like: 

Maybe I'll Get a green sundress and swimsuit for my vacation to Florida and get this done before I go?!

So I came across this when I was messing around with my Roku watching the Break channel... I kinda fell in love with it and now want it as my ring tone...

I swear... One day the Girls of Hug a gamer will have their own music video... I hope... Cuz that would kinda be epic!!!

Oh the joys of Twitter... an ever going stream of information and articles for everyone and their mother to see... Twitter may sometimes get a bad Rap.. but if one knows how to use it right.. you find articles like the one I just read

New World Notes recently posted an article about the three mistakes that MMOs make that alienate female gamers. Now after reading this article, I learned a few things... did you know that only 16% of the WoW population is female?! Talk about a sausage feast! But 25% of gamers on LotR online, and 40% of gamers on Everquest II are females. 

Now to be short and sweet, the three issues brought up in this article were 1)Disproportionate and Hyper-Sexualized Bodies 2) Limited Character Customization 3) Gender-Locked Classes.

I highly encourage the girl gamers to read this article...along with the guys  who sneak a peak at this blog as well!

So this whole site is about bringing gamers together, is it not? But lets face it females are one HUGE part that is cast out. I was talking to a new friend this morning, and she told me that she keeps her gender a secret until the people she is playing with knows that she is AMAZING at games. She said that if they know she had boobs, that thats all they would care about.

I find that true, and we've all heard the jokes 'there's no girls on the internet,' and that they belong in the kitchen... I admit I make the jokes myself at times (See the about me section for an example). But lets face it, there's truth in this... but I'm here to help!! This blog.. thing... will be all for the girls... Different issues I see come up... Odds and ends that I find that I like... and the occasional girl issues!!
